Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to security, including monitoring premises, preventing losses, and responding to emergencies. The Security Guard will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of the property and its occupants.
Duties
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security.
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and facilities.
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies.
- Enforce rules and regulations to maintain order.
- Utilize surveillance equipment such as CCTV to monitor activities.
- Report any suspicious activities or security breaches immediately.
- Provide first aid assistance when necessary and maintain a first aid kit.
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services as needed.
- Document incidents and prepare reports for management review.
- Engage in conflict management strategies to de-escalate situations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in security or law enforcement is preferred.
- First aid and CPR certification is highly desirable.
- Previous experience in loss prevention or security roles is an advantage.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to assess situations quickly.
- Familiarity with surveillance systems (CCTV) and monitoring equipment.
- Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Military experience is a plus but not required.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if necessary.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
