Semi-Private Personal Training Coach
Location: E-Town Fitness – 136 W Vallette St, Elmhurst, IL 60126
Starting Hours: 20–25 hours/week, with the opportunity to grow into 30–40+ hours/week as the role, schedule, and business needs expand
Compensation: $20-$30/hr + Bonuses + Perks

Fitness IQ (Technical Skills):
-Strong understanding of exercise science, biomechanics, and structured programming.
-Ability to modify exercises based on injuries & fitness levels.
-Proven knowledge of progressive overload, movement mechanics, and training principles.

-You don’t just correct form, but you build relationships & motivate clients.
-You can adapt your energy, tone, and coaching style based on a client’s mindset.
-You lead with confidence, presence, and emotional intelligence while knowing when to push and when to pull back.

What You’ll Do
1. Lead High-Quality Semi-Private Training Sessions (4-6 clients per session).
2. Coach, correct, and connect: ensuring every client gets personalized attention.
3. Adapt and modify exercises based on individual needs while following structured programming.
4. Foster a positive, supportive training environment that keeps clients engaged and accountable.
5. Be a team player - collaborate, share insights, and contribute to our gym’s success.
6. Embody our core values - this means taking extreme ownership, teamwork, investing in relationships, never stop growing, and always doing the right thing.
7. Coach with confidence - you’ll even coach our team during the hiring process to show us your presence & adaptability.
8. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional training space.
9. Clients should never beat the coach to the facility. We expect coaches to arrive early, prepared, and ready to create a smooth client experience from the moment members walk in.

-You understand that being on time means being early, prepared, and ready before clients arrive.
Requirements
✔ Nationally Recognized Personal Training Certification (NASM, ACE, NSCA, etc.) OR Exercise Science Degree or related degree
✔ 1-2 years of coaching experience in semi-private, small-group, or personal training (Preferred not required)
✔ Strong coaching presence with the ability to engage, educate, and inspire clients
✔ This role requires consistent availability for early mornings, evenings, and/or Saturday shifts. Punctuality and reliability are non-negotiable because coaches may be responsible for opening the facility and leading sessions independently.
✔ A deep understanding of strength training principles and progressive overload
Bonus Points If You Have:
➕ Experience in functional strength training, mobility, or corrective exercise
➕ Certifications in nutrition, behavior change, or recovery
➕ Familiarity with gym management software or training apps
