The Austin Pet Ranch seeks , qualified, energetic, animal-loving kennel technicians to join our team.
Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
- The daily caring of all dogs in the facility. This includes being responsible for the playtime, feeding, cleaning, and well-being of each dog according to the Austin Pet Ranch policies and procedures. This position is responsible for ensuring that the needs of each animal are met.
- Must be flexible to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays. We are a family-run operation, and we need someone who is willing to be a team player and go above and beyond when it comes to helping out.
- Must learn to properly work with specific animal’s needs by learning how to adapt to the different personality traits of dogs. In this position, we will instruct you on how to approach each individual dog based on their needs.
- Must be willing to get a little dirty, stand for extended periods, and be able to lift 30+ pounds
- Be responsible for assisting the office staff as needed. (Bringing animals to and from the lobby, holding pets, assisting with grooming, and interacting with customers.)
- Work as a team player by communicating with managers and co-workers of any and all conditions observed of each pet. This is to ensure the complete safety and happiness of the animals and their owners.
- Previous experience working with animals is required.
Full-time and part-time positions are available.
- Salary: $17/hour with the opportunity for growth

- Are energetic and prepared to get a little dirty (dogs make pretty big messes)
- Are hardworking and willing to be on their feet for 6+ hours at a time
- Have a positive attitude and be a team player
- Be able to lift 30 pounds and move quickly
We are located in Southwest Austin, about 25 minutes from downtown Austin, Driftwood, and Dripping Springs.
