Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and versatile Business Office Manager who will also serve as the Human Resources Director, combining essential administrative, financial, and personnel responsibilities within a long-term care setting. This dual role offers an exciting opportunity to lead clinic operations, oversee fiscal management, and foster a positive work environment. Duties
- Manage all aspects of facility operations, billing, scheduling, and patient flow to optimize efficiency and patient satisfaction.
- Oversee fiscal management activities such as budgeting, financial reporting, expense control, and revenue cycle management using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like PCC.
- Supervise administrative staff and clinical personnel, providing leadership in training, performance evaluations, and workflow improvements.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations including HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act), JCAHO (Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations), and managed care standards.
- Lead human resources functions such as hiring, onboarding, employee relations, policy development, and ensuring adherence to employment laws.
- Coordinate with medical professionals on medical management tasks including utilization management and acute care procedures.
- Maintain proficiency in medical terminology
- Oversee facility-specific projects related to hospital or outpatient services ensuring quality standards are met or exceeded.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in medical office management with strong supervisory skills in healthcare settings.
- Extensive knowledge of fiscal management including budgeting and financial oversight within a healthcare environment.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, eClinicalWorks, Dentrix or Eaglesoft is highly desirable.
- Background in nursing or clinical practice management preferred; acute care or hospital experience is a plus.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical records management protocols.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while fostering a positive work environment through excellent communication skills.
- Experience with human resources functions including staffing, policy enforcement, and employee development.
