Position Summary
Bayview is building the development and fundraising infrastructure for our next chapter. The Grants Manager is more than a grant writing position. It is an opportunity to translate the daily work of a thriving, culturally diverse community into the funding that sustains it. The work will deepen relationships with funders who believe housing stability is most durable when embedded in a vibrant, connected, and engaged community.
Bayview seeks a strong writer and steady strategist who cares deeply about people, believes in the power of place-based community development, and is motivated by the opportunity to connect funders with life-changing work. This role brings intentionality to the proposals and reports that ensure that families at Bayview have access to stable housing, responsive services, and the trusted relationships that make growth possible.
The Grants Manager is responsible for leading grant-making at Bayview. This position will identify funding opportunities, lead the development, writing, and submission of grant proposals, and manage grant reporting and compliance. Approximately 40% of Bayview’s annual revenue currently comes from grants, and the Grants Manager will own the strategy and execution to grow this critical funding stream.
This role sits at the intersection of storytelling and strategy. It calls for someone who can move fluidly between funder research, narrative writing, stakeholder interviews, and budget development, and who understands that the best proposals emerge from genuine knowledge of the community and its work. The role will report to the Director of Development and Communications and work closely with the Executive Director and Program Director.
