Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and mission-driven Recovery Housing Operations Manager to oversee multiple community-based recovery homes and provide direct supervision to House Managers. This individual will be responsible for ensuring safe, structured, and recovery-focused living environments for residents while maintaining consistent enforcement of program rules, policies, and expectations.
This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership experience in recovery housing, peer recovery services, or residential program operations who can balance accountability, structure, and compassionate support.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of multiple recovery housing/community living sites
- Supervise, coach, and support House Managers across all residential locations
- Ensure consistent enforcement of house rules, program expectations, and resident agreements
- Monitor resident compliance, engagement, and accountability within the recovery environment
- Coordinate admissions, move-ins, transitions, and discharges in collaboration with clinical and administrative teams
- Conduct routine site visits and operational audits to ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance
- Review and respond to incidents, rule violations, and behavioral concerns in alignment with program policies
- Maintain occupancy levels and support housing stability and bed utilization goals
- Support a structured, recovery-oriented culture grounded in accountability and peer support principles
- Collaborate with clinical staff, PRP teams, and external partners as needed (non-clinical role)
- Ensure documentation, reporting, and operational records are completed accurately and timely
- Experience in recovery housing, residential services, behavioral health support, or peer recovery environments
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of recovery-oriented systems of care and structured living environments
- Ability to enforce rules and maintain accountability while supporting a recovery-focused culture
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple sites and prioritize competing operational needs
- High level of professionalism, consistency, and reliability
Required Qualifications
- Active Maryland Registered Peer Supervisor certification (required)
- Experience in recovery housing, peer recovery services, residential programs, or behavioral health support settings
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred
- Strong ability to enforce structure, policies, and accountability in residential environments
- Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to manage multiple housing sites and prioritize operational demands
- High level of professionalism, consistency, and integrity
- Experience supervising house managers or frontline residential staff
- Familiarity with recovery residences, transitional housing, or structured sober living environments
- Experience with incident reporting, compliance tracking, or program audits
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
License/Certification:
- Registered Peer Supervisor Certification (Required)
