Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory control, and cash handling.
- Support hiring, onboarding, training, and developing team members to foster a high-performance work environment.
- Oversee sales activities, ensuring team members meet sales targets through effective merchandising and customer engagement strategies.
- Supervise staff scheduling, shift management, and task delegation to optimize store productivity.
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping, payroll processing, and inventory management records with attention to detail.
- Lead by example in delivering outstanding customer service, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with management on marketing initiatives, pricing strategies, and promotional campaigns to boost sales performance.
Skills
- Proven experience in assistant management or supervisory roles within retail or grocery store environments.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual abilities are highly valued.
- Proficiency in POS systems, retail math, merchandising, inventory control, and cash handling procedures.
- Skilled in negotiation, purchasing, budgeting, and sales management techniques.
- Ability to train staff on employee orientation, customer service standards, phone etiquette, and store policies.
- Sound organizational skills with expertise in time management, stock stocking, marketing strategies, and administrative tasks.
