Responsibilities:
- Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for preschool children
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play and structured activities
- Teach basic academic skills such as math, language, and science
- Incorporate creative arts, music, and physical education into daily routines
- Monitor and assess each child's progress and provide feedback to parents/guardians
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a positive learning environment
Requirements:
- Current child care back ground check? (https://ncchildcare.ncdhhs.gov/Home/DCDEE-Sections/Criminal-Background-Check-Unit)
- Previous experience working with young children in a daycare or preschool setting
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, parents/guardians, and colleagues
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
- Patience, flexibility, and a genuine love for working with young children
Note: This position may require occasional tutoring or additional responsibilities related to child welfare.
