Our client, Thomas Erie located in Girard, PA, is a global leader in manufacturing and precision metal-stamping serving the aerosol, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries. Currently Thomas Erie is seeking a highly skilled Die Setter to join their Production Department. The ideal candidate must be a motivated and detail-orientated person and someone who takes pride in their work.
Salary: $17-$27/hr. (based on experience and work history)
Shift: 4-day work week; 6am - 4pm with OT available (scheduled hours subject to change)
Key Responsibilities:
- Die setters are responsible for conducting timely die change overs, resulting in the production of products which meet all quality and customer requirements.
- The Die Setter is also responsible to trouble shoot dies and presses.
- The Die Setter will also function as a Press Operator, when available.
- Die Setters are responsible for the maintenance of their own hand tools as required.
- It is the responsibility of the employee to continuously meet the requirements of their customers (Internal and External). If the requirements are not achievable, the employee has the responsibility to initiate a specification change through their reporting structure.
- Perform other work-related duties as required by the supervisor or manager.
Experience and Qualifications:
- A minimum of one year’s experience working with progressive dies and stamping production presses is preferred.
- Experience in using measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers and opto-comparators is required.
- Blueprint reading and mathematics skills are required.
- Good mechanical knowledge with the ability to use measuring equipment is required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and workmanship
- High School degree or GED is preferred
