Quality Manager
Salary: $83,100–$116,500 per year + annual discretionary bonus

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead quality initiatives within a manufacturing environment. This position will oversee the Quality Management System (QMS), ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations, lead continuous improvement efforts, and work closely with teams across the organization to maintain high-quality products and processes.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, manufacturing quality experience, and a proven ability to identify problems, implement corrective actions, and drive measurable improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain the organization's Quality Management System in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 and applicable industry standards.
- Lead and coordinate internal, customer, and third-party audits.
- Address audit findings and oversee corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing defects, waste, variation, scrap, and rework.
- Utilize root cause analysis, Lean, Six Sigma, and other quality improvement methodologies.
- Maintain quality documentation, including procedures, work instructions, forms, records, and reports.
- Analyze quality data and develop performance reports, metrics, and trend analysis.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop quality personnel, including inspectors and technicians.
- Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
- Partner with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and other departments to resolve quality issues and support product and process changes.
- Develop and deliver training related to quality standards, inspection methods, regulatory requirements, procedures, and continuous improvement practices.
- Maintain accurate employee training and qualification records as part of the QMS.
- Monitor supplier quality performance, including supplier approvals, audits, and corrective actions.
- Support First Article Inspections (FAI) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities for new components and suppliers.
- Monitor and reduce the Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs associated with scrap, rework, warranty claims, and product returns.
- Partner with Finance and Operations to evaluate the financial impact of quality initiatives and identify opportunities for improved efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of quality experience within a manufacturing environment, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems, including ISO 9001:2015.
- Experience implementing and maintaining QMS processes.
- Experience planning and participating in internal and external audits.
- Knowledge of corrective and preventive action processes and root cause analysis.
- Experience developing and delivering quality-related training.
- Familiarity with COPQ metrics, audit planning, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge of applicable manufacturing quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, suppliers, auditors, and other external partners.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently and collaboratively.
