Position Overview:
We’re looking for a compassionate, dependable Kennel Technician to help care for our rescue dogs and support daily operations. This role is equal parts heart and hustle—you’ll be making a real difference, but it comes with hard work, and the occasional chaos that comes with saving lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily care including feeding, watering, and administering medications as directed
- Clean and sanitize kennels, crates, and play areas to maintain a healthy environment
- Observe and report changes in behavior, appetite, or health
- Safely handle dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and backgrounds (including nervous or under-socialized dogs)
- Support enrichment through walks, playtime, and positive interaction
- Assist with grooming needs - bath, nail trim, etc.
- Assist with intake of new dogs and preparation for adoption events
- Help keep accurate records for feeding, medications, and notes
- Jump in wherever needed—laundry, dishes, organizing supplies, and general upkeep
What We’re Looking For:
- A genuine love for dogs and commitment to animal welfare
- Ability to stay calm, patient, and kind—even in stressful or emotional situations
- Physically able to lift 40–50 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods
- Willingness to get dirty (cleaning is a big part of this job)
- Reliable, team-oriented, and able to follow through on responsibilities
- Previous rescue, shelter, or animal care experience is required
- Must pass background check, be able to work weekdays, weekends, holidays

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
