Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash, sanitize, and dry dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment following food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed to support the culinary team.
- Clear and bus tables promptly to maintain cleanliness in dining areas and service stations.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly, including dishwashers, sinks, and other small appliances.
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of large pots or crates of supplies while adhering to proper manual handling techniques.
- Maintain strict sanitation standards by regularly cleaning workstations, floors, and storage areas according to health regulations.
- Support food handling procedures by ensuring proper storage and organization of ingredients and supplies.
Requirements
- Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not mandatory; a strong willingness to learn is essential.
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitation procedures.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during busy service hours.
- Basic knife skills for assisting with food prep tasks when required.
- Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment such as dishwashers or sinks is a plus.
