Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Fuel Delivery Driver to join our dynamic logistics team! Responsibilities
- Safely operate bobtail tankers, medium duty trucks, or light duty truck and trailers to deliver fuel across designated routes.
- Navigate using GPS systems efficiently to meet delivery schedules while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload fuel with proper manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo integrity and safety during transport.
- Comply with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), and hazardous materials regulations during all phases of transportation.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports for each trip, including inspection reports and delivery receipts.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before operating the truck.
- Collaborate with dispatch teams to coordinate route planning, delivery schedules, and cargo handling requirements.
- Cleanliness in trucks and equipment
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, delivery driving, or related roles involving freight transportation.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to hazardous materials (Hazmat), tanker, or refrigerated trailer operation.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials handling, and safety procedures.
- Experience operating manual transmission trucks and equipment such as forklifts or pump trucks is a plus.
- Ability to handle manual loading/unloading processes safely using appropriate cargo handling techniques.
- Strong navigation skills utilizing GPS systems for efficient route planning on local routes.
- Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance with all traffic laws.
