Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–12:30 PM (25 hours/week)

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Child Care Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will support the development and well-being of young children by assisting lead teachers in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help foster curiosity, social skills, and foundational knowledge in children from infancy through preschool age. Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote childhood development and learning.
- Support children with daily routines such as diapering, feeding, nap times, and transitions to ensure comfort and safety.
- Engage children in play-based learning activities that encourage social interaction, creativity, and cognitive growth.
- Maintain a safe classroom environment by supervising children at all times and adhering to safety protocols including pediatric first aid and mandated reporting laws.
- Help manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management strategies.
- Collaborate with team members to observe and document each child's progress, special needs, or behavioral concerns related to working with individuals with disabilities or special education requirements.
- Support inclusive practices for children with diverse backgrounds and developmental needs, including toddler care and infant care when necessary.
Skills
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles, childhood development, and child development instruction.
- Experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or classroom settings.
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.
- Certification or training in first aid (including pediatric first aid) and mandated reporting laws.
- Ability to work effectively with children of various ages including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members, parents, and specialists in special education or working with students with disabilities.
- Demonstrated patience, compassion, and enthusiasm for nurturing children's growth in a caring environment.
