Responsibilities
- Deliver patient personal care assistance, including helping with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Support residents with meal preparation, feeding, and nutritional needs tailored to individual dietary requirements
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning duties.
- Provide companionship and emotional support while engaging clients in meaningful activities that promote mental well-being, including Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, memory care, and autism support
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or in senior care settings such as assisted living or nursing homes
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication management, and emergency response procedures including CPR and first aid certification
- Familiarity with home health practices, hospice care principles, and HIPAA compliance standards
- Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams
- Experience working with diverse populations including those with intellectual disabilities or developmental disabilities is preferred
- Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation for providing personal transportation assistance when required
