You will safely transport folded‑carton packaging products from our facility to customers while embracing our company’s 2 Second Lean culture. Every day, each team member looks for small improvements that save at least two seconds in their work. This mindset eliminates waste, streamlines processes and helps us deliver exceptional service. When not driving, you’ll support production tasks and suggest improvements to make those tasks smoother.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver finished packaging products safely and accurately to customerscareers.packagingcorp.com.
- Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections, maintain log books/e‑logs and comply with all DOT regulationscareers.packagingcorp.com.
- Load and unload products; secure them properly to prevent damage.
- Practice continuous improvement by identifying small inefficiencies (extra steps, unnecessary motion or wasted time) and suggesting two‑second improvements in delivery routes, loading/unloading or documentation processes.
- Participate in daily lean “stand‑ups” or improvement meetings to share ideas and learn from colleagues.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and work area, using 3S principles (Sort, Sweep, Standardize, ) to keep tools and supplies tidy.
- Assist in packaging operations—labeling, folding, cutting or preparing jobs for delivery—while looking for ways to make these tasks more efficient.
- Provide courteous, professional service and communicate delivery updates to the team and customers.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- 1+ years of professional delivery or trucking experience.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Familiarity with DOT regulations and basic vehicle maintenance (inspections, log books).
- Strong route‑planning and navigation skills; comfortable with GPS and maps.
- Excellent communication, punctuality and customer service skills.
- Willingness to embrace continuous improvement and actively seek out small efficiency gains every day.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience delivering packaging or industrial products.
- CDL or forklift certification.
- Prior exposure to Lean manufacturing or 2 Second Lean principles (not required but beneficial).
