Robotic Welding Engineer

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Robotic Welding Engineer to support and optimize automated welding operations in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established manufacturer where robotic welding plays a critical role in production.
The ideal candidate will have experience programming industrial robots, optimizing welding processes, troubleshooting automated welding systems, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, productivity, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Program, troubleshoot, and optimize industrial welding robots (ABB preferred; FANUC experience also considered).
- Develop and improve robotic welding processes for quality, repeatability, and cycle time.
- Optimize welding parameters including wire feed, voltage, travel speed, shielding gas, and torch positioning.
- Support new robotic welding cell installations and production launches.
- Troubleshoot robotic, mechanical, electrical, and welding process issues to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, maintenance, tooling, and quality teams to improve automation performance.
- Support fixture improvements, TCP calibration, robot recovery, and preventive maintenance activities.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction.
- Train production and maintenance personnel on robotic welding systems and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with company safety standards and welding specifications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred (equivalent experience considered).
- 3+ years of experience in robotic welding engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience programming industrial robots (ABB preferred; FANUC experience is acceptable).
- Strong knowledge of MIG/GMAW welding processes.
- Experience troubleshooting automated robotic welding cells.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and CAD models.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
