About Us:
Private Capital Management (PCM) is a boutique, top-performing research and advisory firm specializing in small-cap US equity investing, wealth management, and related financial planning services for high-net-worth individuals, families and institutional clients. Located in Naples, Florida, PCM is dedicated to delivering personalized and efficient solutions that help our clients achieve their long-term financial goals and investing success.
The Role:
We're hiring a Client Services Associate to support our client services team and the clients we serve. This is not a traditional back-office data-entry role. The core of the job is using AI tools (Claude and similar platforms) to manage day-to-day workflow — building and maintaining tracking systems, streamlining tasks that are currently manual and time-consuming, preparing client-facing materials, and helping the team move faster while staying thorough.
From day one, you'll be part of a close-knit team working directly on client relationships, portfolio data, and firm operations. We're looking for someone who is comfortable learning fast, asking good questions, and taking ownership of tasks rather than waiting to be told exactly what to do next.
Benefits:
- Competitive salary and performance-based incentives.
- Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
- Collaborative and supportive work environment with opportunities for career advancement.
- Professional development opportunities including training programs, licensing and certifications.
Responsibilities:
- Use AI tools to manage daily workflow: building trackers, summarizing data, drafting client communications, and organizing recurring operational tasks
- Prepare materials for client meetings, including performance summaries and portfolio updates
- Prepare monthly and quarterly client updates and other customized reporting
- Field client service requests and route or resolve them promptly
- Learn our trading and data infrastructure (Bloomberg, FactSet, NFS/Fidelity clearing) well enough to integrate it into AI-driven workflows
- Take ownership of assigned projects from start to finish, flagging issues early rather than letting them surface downstream
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, finance, or related field.
- Genuine interest in investing, markets, or wealth management — coursework, internships, personal investing experience, or demonstrated self-study all count
- Required: Demonstrated, extensive hands-on experience with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, etc.) – this is not a nice-to-have. You should already use AI fluently and daily, with real examples of applying it to solve substantive problems, not just casual or occasional use. We'll teach you our specific workflows and systems, but deep AI fluency needs to walk in the door with you
- Strong Excel skills, including creating macros and pivot tables; comfort with formulas, data cleanup, and basic troubleshooting
- High attention to detail – this work touches real client money, and precision matters
- Strong written communication skills; you'll be helping draft client-facing content
- A self-starter mentality: someone who takes ownership of problems rather than waiting for direction on every step
- Required: FINRA licensing –Series 65 (or equivalent) within 6 months of start date, and Series 7 and Series 63 within the first year of employment; firm will support exam preparation
Why This Role
- Direct, daily exposure to how a boutique investment firm actually runs – trading, client service, and portfolio operations, not siloed busywork
- A rare opportunity to shape how AI gets used inside a wealth management practice, rather than adopting tools built by someone else after the fact
- Small team, real responsibility, and a clear path to grow into more specialized trading, client service, or operations roles as you develop
- Direct mentorship from experienced trading and client service professionals
Join our team at Private Capital Management and be part of a dynamic and engaged firm dedicated to excellence as we help clients achieve their investment goals.
Please submit your resume, cover letter, and any relevant documents highlighting your interest and experience. We look forward to considering you for this exciting opportunity.
Tell us about a time you used an AI tool to solve a real problem – we're more interested in that than a list of software you've clicked through.
