Position Summary

As a Safety Technician, you'll work closely with field crews, supervisors, and management to help maintain safe job sites by conducting safety observations, documenting findings, promoting safe work practices, and ensuring company safety standards are followed. No previous safety experience is required—we'll provide the training, mentorship, and support needed to help you succeed.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine job site safety inspections and observations.
- Identify potential hazards and communicate findings to supervisors and field personnel.
- Assist with implementing and promoting company safety policies and procedures.
- Complete daily safety reports, inspection forms, and documentation.
- Help ensure employees are using proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and employee training sessions.
- Maintain accurate records and assist with safety compliance documentation.
- Travel to various job sites to support field operations.
- Promote a positive safety culture by leading through example and encouraging safe work practices.
Qualifications
- No previous safety experience required—we provide comprehensive on-the-job training.
- Utility construction experience is a plus but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
Requirements
- Must be dependable, punctual, and professional.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and visiting active construction sites.
- Ability to walk uneven terrain and stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to travel and occasionally work out of town as project needs require.
- Strong commitment to safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
