This is a full-time position with Schrader Lane Child Care Center. The Kindergarten Teacher is under the direct supervision of the Center Executive Director and works collaboratively with the leadership team, fellow educators, scholars, and families to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.
The Kindergarten Teacher is responsible for supporting the social, emotional, physical, and academic development of scholars while implementing developmentally appropriate instruction that promotes school readiness and lifelong learning.

About the Role
As our Kindergarten Teacher, you will create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom where children feel encouraged to explore, learn, and build confidence. You’ll play a vital role in preparing students for future academic success while fostering strong relationships with families and fellow educators.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans and classroom activities
- Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and academic development
- Maintain a structured, safe, and nurturing classroom environment
- Build positive relationships with children and families
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and classroom updates
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities
- Maintain accurate student records while ensuring confidentiality
- Support family-style dining and daily classroom routines
- Collaborate with leadership and fellow staff members to support student success
- Follow all state licensing regulations and safety procedures
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of Early Childhood Education experience required
- Experience teaching Kindergarten or Pre-K preferred
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Passion for early childhood development and hands-on learning
- Ability to create engaging and developmentally appropriate lesson plans
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with families and children
- Dependable, nurturing, and team-oriented mindset
