Ethos Early Learning Center is growing, and we are looking for an experienced, passionate, and collaborative Lead Preschool Teacher to join our team.
We are a nurturing early childhood program located in South Boston serving children ages 0–5. At Ethos, we believe the early years are the foundation for lifelong learning, relationships, and confidence. We are looking for a teacher who genuinely enjoys working with young children, values teamwork, and is excited to lead a preschool classroom while mentoring and supporting fellow educators.
This is a full-time leadership position overseeing our preschool classroom during the afternoon and closing shift.
Compensation
$25–$29 per hour, depending on certification, education, and experience.

What You'll Do
As our Lead Preschool Teacher, you will:
- Lead and support the preschool teaching team.
- Create a nurturing, organized, and engaging classroom environment.
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum.
- Observe children's development and complete progress reports.
- Build strong partnerships with families through daily communication and parent conferences.
- Maintain compliance with Massachusetts EEC regulations and Ethos policies.
- Collaborate closely with the opening teacher to ensure consistency and smooth communication between shifts.
- Foster a positive, collaborative classroom culture where children and teachers thrive.

Qualifications
Required qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Elementary Education (with early childhood coursework), or a closely related field
- Current Massachusetts EEC Lead Preschool Teacher Certification
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience teaching preschool-aged children in a licensed early childhood program
- CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills
