Mechanic
Job Summary:
The Mechanic works with complex systems and performs highly technical mechanical and diagnostic tests.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Duties/ Responsibilities:
- Repairs and maintains fleet and broken or malfunctioning equipment.
- Performs routing maintenance such as oil changes, tire repairs, belt changes, etc.
- Completes all documentation necessary on vehicles.
- Reports needed parts for repairs to Service Manager.
- Maintains a safe and organized work environment.
- Completes maintenance and repairs in a timely and skilled manor.
- Abides by all safety regulations from Service Manager, Safety Director/Manager, government legislature, and company policy.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Extensive knowledge of equipment and mechanics.
- Ability to communicate effectively with other technicians.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Education and Experience:
- Training or education in mechanics, engineering, or related field preferred.
- At least two years of mechanical work required.
- Prior experience on construction machinery preferred.
- Driver’s license and clean driving record required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing or working under vehicles.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Ability to travel throughout facility and to road-sides or job-sites for repairs as needed.
