Position Overview
We are looking for a motivated Residential Designer / Draftsman to join our in-house team. This role is a hands-on, daily contributor to the Design Meister team, responsible for creating and developing residential floor plans, elevations, and construction drawings for new custom homes, remodels, and additions.
The ideal candidate will have experience working across both new custom home design and remodel/addition projects, with a strong understanding of how to approach the unique requirements of each.
This is a remote role with flexibility, with occasional travel required to the Raleigh, NC area for team collaboration and project needs.
Responsibilities
· Draft residential floor plans, elevations, and construction documents
· Translate markups, sketches, and concepts into clean CAD drawings
· Assist in design development for new custom homes, remodels, and additions
· Revise plans based on client and builder feedback
· Maintain organized project files and timelines
· Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines
Qualifications
· 4 – 5 years of experience in residential drafting/design (AutoCAD preferred)
· Experience with both new custom home design and remodel/addition projects
· Strong understanding of residential construction and layout design
· Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines
· Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
· Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote setting
Compensation & Benefits
· Salary: $50,000 – $80,000 (based on experience)
