We're looking for a dependable Electrical Service Technician who enjoys solving problems, working independently, and providing outstanding service.
Position Summary
As an Electrical Service Technician, you'll diagnose electrical issues, perform repairs, install new electrical systems and equipment, and provide excellent customer service in residential and light commercial settings. This is an ideal role for someone who is self-motivated, takes pride in quality work, and enjoys the variety that comes with service work.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot residential and light commercial electrical issues
- Perform service calls, repairs, upgrades, and new installations
- Install and replace outlets, switches, lighting, ceiling fans, panels, breakers, EV chargers, generators, and other electrical equipment
- Read blueprints and electrical diagrams when needed
- Ensure all work complies with NEC and local electrical codes
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding repairs and recommendations
- Maintain accurate job notes, materials used, and service documentation
- Keep company vehicle clean, organized, and stocked
- Maintain a safe and professional job site
- Participate in an on-call rotation, if applicable
Qualifications
- Journeyman Electrician license preferred (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of residential and/or commercial service experience
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on ladders, in attics, crawl spaces, and outdoors
