Job Summary:
Job Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to):
- Work with a team of technicians in all aspects of completing scope of work to completion under supervision of Lead Technician or Superintendent
- Ability to interpret and understand site drawings
- Work on large copper and fiber installations consisting of 200+ drops
- Closet build-out
- Must have understanding of structured cabling installation best practices, codes, standards, and troubleshooting and a desire for continuous learning
- Must maintain safety guidelines and bring any safety issues to the attention of direct supervisor immediately
- Ability to travel to job sites around mid-west that could span multiple days depending on location of project sites
Required Skills & Qualifications:
General
- Communication and teamwork skills to work well with team, leadership and customers
- Must have a strong understanding of industry standards
- Minimum 2 years of experience in structured cabling
- Ability to travel and work 2nd and 3rd shifts when needed
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Reliable transportation
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test
- Must have valid driver’s license
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be comfortable with ladder and lift work
- Must be 18 years of age
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- BICSI installer 1, 2 or technician certifications
- OSHA 30 Training/OSHA 10 Training/ First Aid Certification
- Ability to enforce safety practices on jobsite
- Bilingual: English/Spanish
