We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Flat Top Cook to join our vibrant culinary team! In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes on the flat top grill, ensuring each meal meets our high standards for quality, presentation, and flavor. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items on the flat top grill, maintaining consistency and quality in every dish
- Follow recipes precisely to ensure adherence to menu standards and dietary guidelines
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including grills, fryers, knives, and other culinary tools
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, braising, poaching, grilling, and food handling to support smooth kitchen operations
- Ensure all food safety sanitizing procedures are followed rigorously to maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Support menu planning efforts by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation techniques
- Maintain high-volume production standards while managing multiple orders simultaneously in a busy setting
Requirements
- Proven experience in food industry roles such as dietary aide, restaurant cook, or catering chef with a focus on food preparation and service
- Strong knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures
- Skilled in various cooking techniques including grilling, braising, poaching, and meal preparation
- Excellent knife skills with the ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Experience working in high-volume production environments with an emphasis on recipe adherence and food handling
- Background in fine dining or restaurant settings is preferred but not required
- Ability to work quickly while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience with dietary department operations or catering is a plus
We are looking to add a reliable, team oriented individual. We are a fast paced steak shop, looking for an energetic individual willing to work hard and serve a quality, consistent product.
We are open currently closed Sundays and Mondays for the summer, beginning September we will be open Tuesday thru Sunday. No late hours, no holidays. We will have a second location opening in Fall 2026, this position is for the Sinking Spring/Reading 19608 shop.
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
