American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU/CCU travel assignment in Bowling Green, KY, requiring at least 2 years of critical care experience and active BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke certifications.

16-bed ICU/CCU unit within a main hospital building
-
Patient ratio is typically 2:1, with occasional 3:1 ratios

Unit support includes a monitor tech (MT); a patient care tech may be staffed depending on census
-
Specialized equipment includes Impella, GE monitors, temporary pacemakers, EKOS, IABP, Arctic Sun, and hemodynamic monitoring
-
EMR system is Meditech
-
Day shift position: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

36 hours per week required

Floating in rotation with core staff is required

13-week contract
-
Active KY or compact RN license required
-
Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale — AHA or ARC accepted; no certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start

PALS certification is also listed as required for this unit

Minimum 2 years of recent ICU/CCU experience required

Strong critical thinking skills and self-motivation required

Candidates must not have any gaps in work history totaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months

US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration

One professional reference required

Procedures performed on the unit include central line insertions and dialysis catheter insertions

Scrubs are required in any color; denim, capris, and camouflage are not permitted

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible

Scheduling flexibility and a collaborative, team-oriented work environment with a mix of experienced staff
