We are seeking a Civil Engineering Designer / CAD Technician to support the planning, design, and construction of municipal infrastructure projects including water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, storm drainage systems, streets, and site development projects.
The successful candidate will work closely with professional engineers to prepare plans, specifications, construction documents, and support calculations for public infrastructure projects throughout southeast Missouri and the surrounding region.
Responsibilities
- Prepare construction plans and drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Develop plan and profile sheets for water, sewer, drainage, and roadway projects.
- Prepare grading plans, drainage exhibits, utility layouts, and construction details.
- Process survey data and develop existing conditions drawings.
- Coordinate with engineers, surveyors, utility providers, contractors, and public agencies.
- Conduct occasional field visits to collect data and verify existing conditions.
Qualifications
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred.
- Experience with municipal infrastructure design is preferred.
- 2+ years of civil design experience preferred.
- Knowledge of water, wastewater, stormwater, and roadway design principles is a plus.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a project team.
- Valid driver's license.
