Laboratory Specialist (Glassware/Inventory/Operations)
Pride Health is hiring a Senior Glassware Specialist to join our client's laboratory services team.
We are seeking a detail-oriented laboratory professional to support research and laboratory operations by ensuring laboratory glassware and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, inspected, and maintained. This contract opportunity is ideal for candidates with laboratory support or glassware services experience who enjoy working in a collaborative, fast-paced laboratory environment.
Responsibilities Include:
- Collect, clean, sterilize, inspect, and distribute laboratory glassware and plasticware.
- Operate laboratory equipment including glassware washers, autoclaves, dry heat sterilizers, and ultrasonic baths.
- Maintain equipment logs, SOP documentation, and inventory while following GDP and laboratory safety standards.
- Perform routine equipment inspections, preventive maintenance, and contamination control activities.
- Train team members and collaborate with laboratory staff to support daily laboratory operations and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline required. (Associate's degree with 2+ years of laboratory experience or High School Diploma with 5+ years of relevant experience will also be considered.)
- Experience supporting laboratory operations, glassware services, or laboratory equipment preferred.
- Familiarity with SOPs, GDP, GLP, GMP, or regulated laboratory environments is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, communication, customer service, and teamwork skills.
Important Details:
- Employment Type: 1 Year Contract opportunity.
- Schedule/Shift: Full-time, Monday–Friday (schedule to be provided by the Hiring Manager).
- Location: Tarrytown, NY 100% On-site.
- Work Environment: Laboratory setting requiring PPE, including lab coats, gloves, safety glasses, and other required protective equipment.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, lift 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally. Position may involve working with biological materials, hazardous chemicals, hazardous waste, and sterilization equipment. Medical clearance and respirator fit testing may be required.
- Pay Range: $25/hr - 28/hr (based on experience).
