New Wave Med Spa is seeking a highly skilled, passionate, and experienced Nurse Practitioner (APRN) to join our growing team. We are looking for a provider who combines clinical excellence with an artistic eye, exceptional patient care, and a passion for helping clients look and feel their best.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in medical aesthetics and wellness, including neuromodulators, dermal fillers, medical weight loss, IV therapy, and injectable wellness treatments. This individual should be confident performing consultations, developing customized treatment plans, and building long-term relationships with clients through outstanding clinical results and exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Medical Evaluations & Patient Consultations
- Conduct comprehensive medical evaluations and determine patient eligibility for aesthetic and wellness treatments.
- Review medical history, medications, contraindications, and obtain informed consent.
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's goals and medical needs.
- Order and review laboratory work when clinically appropriate.
Aesthetic Injectables
- Administer neuromodulators including Botox®, Dysport®, and Jeuveau® with precision and natural-looking results.
- Perform dermal filler treatments for facial balancing and rejuvenation.
- Experience with Sculptra®, Radiesse®, PRP/PRF, and other regenerative aesthetic procedures is preferred.
- Maintain accurate treatment records, photography, and follow-up documentation.
Medical Weight Loss & Wellness
- Evaluate and manage patients participating in medical weight loss programs.
- Prescribe and monitor GLP-1 medications and other wellness therapies in accordance with Florida regulations and supervising physician protocols.
- Administer IV Vitamin Therapy and Intramuscular (IM) injections.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Experience with peptide therapy and hormone optimization is a plus.
Client Care & Education
- Provide exceptional patient consultations and education.
- Perform skin assessments and recommend comprehensive treatment plans.
- Educate clients on pre- and post-treatment care.
- Build lasting relationships by providing ongoing support and follow-up care.
- Recommend appropriate treatment packages, memberships, and medical-grade skincare products to help patients achieve optimal long-term results.
Collaboration & Clinical Leadership
Collaborate with aestheticians to develop comprehensive treatment plans utilizing technologies including:
- Venus Bliss Max
- Venus Legacy
- Laser Hair Removal
- IPL Photofacial
- Participate in educational events, community outreach, and occasional social media content creation to educate clients and promote services.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain complete, accurate, and timely electronic medical records.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, Florida Board of Nursing regulations, and all applicable medical spa protocols.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant treatment environment.
- Exercise professionalism, discretion, and compassion in every patient interaction.
Qualifications
- Active Florida APRN License in good standing.
- National Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience administering neuromodulators (Botox®, Dysport®, Jeuveau®) and dermal fillers.
- Advanced certification in aesthetic injectables required.
- Experience administering IV Therapy and IM injections.
- Experience with medical weight loss programs and GLP-1 therapies preferred.
- Experience with peptide therapies, hormone optimization, PRP/PRF, and biostimulators is a plus.
- Current BLS Certification required (ACLS preferred).
- DEA registration or eligibility to obtain preferred.
- Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
- Strong consultation, communication, and patient relationship-building skills.
- Excellent aesthetic judgment with exceptional attention to detail.
- Commitment to continuing education and staying current on emerging technologies and techniques.
