Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations within the daycare center, ensuring a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for children
- Lead and support classroom staff with child supervision, behavior management, and developmentally appropriate activities
- Coordinate curriculum implementation focused on childhood development, early learning, and social-emotional growth
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, needs, and any concerns
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws, health regulations, and safety standards including first aid and pediatric CPR procedures
- Oversee staff scheduling, training in classroom management, child care best practices, and emergency protocols
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, incident reports, and developmental milestones for each child
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in daycare centers or preschool settings; daycare experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles, child development instruction, and behavior management techniques
- Certification in first aid, CPR (including pediatric first aid), and knowledge of mandated reporting laws
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration
- Classroom management skills with the ability to lead a team in a dynamic environment
- Demonstrated commitment to providing nurturing care for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with diverse needs
