Job Summary:
The Communication Specialist is responsible for the strategic development and execution of integrated communication initiatives that drive measurable brand awareness, customer engagement, lead generation, and sales enablement across digital and traditional marketing channels. This role owns the social media strategy and execution, email marketing campaigns, performance reporting, directory and advertising listings, public relations initiatives, tradeshow marketing materials, and branded promotional merchandise.
The ideal candidate is experienced at driving communications strategy, highly organized and proactive communicator with a deep understanding of brand voice, positioning by target group, strategic campaign planning and execution, and experience managing multi-channel marketing communications in a collaborative B2B environment.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Social Media & Digital Communications
- Own the strategy for social media channels across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, and other relevant platforms, developing and executing these strategies aligning them with business outcomes.
- Manage paid social campaign setup, optimization, and performance tracking across platforms.
- Build social media content frameworks and campaign guidance for internal teams, distributors, vendors, and employee advocates.
- Monitor social engagement, trends, and platform best practices.
Email Marketing
- Establish and own the strategy for email marketing, campaign execution, audience segmentation, and list building initiatives aligning with business goals.
- Develop and distribute promotional, nurture, newsletter, and announcement email campaigns.
- Maintain email marketing best practices including deliverability, list hygiene, and testing.
Reporting & Analytics
- Produce regular reporting for social media and email channels respectively, PR impacts and high level marketing KPIs.
- Analyze campaign performance and provide recommendations for optimization.
- Maintain dashboards and monthly performance summaries for management.
Advertising & Directory Management
- Manage company listings across online directories and advertising platforms.
- Identify new directory, advertising, and promotional opportunities.
- Ensure listing accuracy, branding consistency, and optimization across platforms.
Public Relations & News Distribution
- Distribute press releases, company announcements, and news updates.
- Coordinate with publications, associations and media outlets on PR initiatives and placements.
- Support broader public relations and brand awareness efforts.
Additional Job Duties:
- Coordinate tradeshow marketing materials, collateral, and best practices.
- Ensure timely preparation of promotional/event assets for shows and events.
- Support event-related communications and post-show follow-up coordination.
- Manage sourcing, ordering, inventory, and distribution of branded promotional items as needed.
- Coordinate swag needs for events, internal initiatives, and customer-facing activities.
Physical Demands:
- Be able to lift 50lbs
- Sit and/or stand for 8 hours
Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years of experience with demonstrated success managing social, email and PR marketing strategy
- Expertise with email automation, social scheduling, and analytics platforms
- Strong writing, editing, and project management skills
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in B2B or industrial manufacturing environments preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, or related field preferred
