Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality behavioral therapy to children and individuals with neurodevelopmental disabilities. Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles to support clients’ developmental goals.
- Collect and record behavioral data accurately during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments.
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, feeding, and other essential self-care skills.
- Support clients in educational settings by applying teaching strategies aligned with special education practices.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation, client records, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members regarding progress, challenges, and behavioral management strategies.
- Participate in ongoing training on ethical standards, professional conduct, and implementing ABA therapy protocols.
Skills
- Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders.
- RBT certification required.
- Strong understanding of behavioral health concepts, behavior management techniques, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Ability to collect and analyze behavioral data accurately for progress tracking.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated patience and compassion when working with diverse populations in home-based or school settings.
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
- Familiarity with care plans, behavior support strategies, and implementing structured interventions tailored to individual needs.
