American Traveler is seeking a Psych Float Pool RN with adolescent experience for a 13-week travel contract in Maine, requiring an active ME or compact RN license and relevant psychiatric nursing background.

Psychiatric float pool position within a hospital setting

Patient population includes children and adolescents

Day shift schedule working 3x12-hour shifts

Schedule flexibility required to adjust days based on census demands

Active Maine RN license or compact RN license currently in hand

Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required

Minimum of 1-3 years of nursing experience working with children and adolescents

Graduate of an accredited nursing program

Basic Dysrhythmia certification required prior to completion of orientation

Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training required prior to completion of orientation

No actions on license or adverse background history

Ability to perform effectively in high-stress situations

Responsible for delivering direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process across all areas of the unit

Delegates appropriate interventions, supervises as needed, and maintains a safe care environment

Provides education and health management support to patients and families in collaboration with other healthcare professionals
