Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests have an enjoyable dining experience while efficiently managing their orders and needs.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests with a friendly demeanor, ensuring they feel valued from the moment they arrive.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems, ensuring all guest preferences are noted.
- Provide detailed menu information, including daily specials, and make recommendations to enhance the dining experience through upselling techniques.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal, addressing any concerns or requests in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
- Process payments accurately using cash handling skills and basic math knowledge.
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area to create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Participate in ongoing training sessions to improve culinary knowledge and service skills.
Requirements
- Previous restaurant experience is preferred, particularly in fine dining or high-volume establishments.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with guests.
- Experience with food handling, preparation, and safety protocols is essential.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar systems is a plus.
- Excellent time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tables and tasks simultaneously.
- Basic math skills for accurate order processing and cash handling.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed in the hospitality industry.
