Artistic Flooring Solutions is a growing commercial flooring contractor specializing in epoxy flooring systems, polished concrete, concrete surface preparation, concrete repair, and decorative concrete finishes. We are seeking an experienced Lead Epoxy & Polished Concrete Installer who takes pride in producing exceptional work, leads by example, and is looking to build a long-term career with a company that values craftsmanship, professionalism, and integrity.
This is a hands-on leadership position. The Lead Installer is expected to work alongside the crew while setting the standard for quality, productivity, safety, and professionalism on every project.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of verifiable hands-on commercial experience installing epoxy flooring systems and polishing concrete.
- Commercial flooring experience is required.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
- OSHA 10 Certification is required. Applicants who already possess a current OSHA 10 certification are preferred.
- Ability to lead a crew while maintaining a positive, professional attitude.
- Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to work well with coworkers, customers, and project managers.
- Physically capable of lifting 75+ pounds and performing demanding construction work.
Preferred Experience
Experience with:
- Epoxy flooring systems
- Polyaspartic and urethane coatings
- Concrete grinding and polishing
- Shot blasting and surface preparation
- Concrete crack repair and patching
- Operating planetary grinders, ride-on grinders, industrial HEPA vacuums, shot blasters, floor scrapers, and other concrete preparation equipment
Job Responsibilities
- Lead commercial epoxy and polished concrete installation projects.
- Work alongside crew members while leading by example.
- Supervise installers and maintain high standards of quality, safety, and productivity.
- Perform concrete surface preparation, repairs, grinding, polishing, and resinous flooring installations.
- Operate and maintain company equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure projects remain on schedule while delivering exceptional workmanship.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site.
- Communicate effectively with project management regarding project progress, scheduling, and material needs.
Travel & Schedule
- Travel is required for commercial projects.
- Most projects are located within approximately three hours of the Kansas City metropolitan area, with occasional travel beyond that as business needs require.
- Overnight travel is required when necessary.
- Weekend work is required as project schedules demand.
- Overtime opportunities are available.
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting pay of $30.00–$33.00 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated skill.
