General Qualifications:

High school diploma

Successful previous experience as a custodian within RCS and/or comparable experience elsewhere

Demonstrated aptitude and/or competence for assigned responsibilities

Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
Staff member will effectively perform the following duties in a timely manner:
Performance Responsibilities:

Keep building and premises, including sidewalks, driveways, and play areas neat and clean at all times.

See to the regulation of heat, ventilation, and air conditioning systems to provide temperatures appropriate to the season, and to insure economical usage of fuel, water, and electricity.

Shovel, plow, and sand walks, driveways, parking areas, and steps as necessary, and in those areas which are not addressed by the maintenance personnel.

Check daily to insure all exit doors are open and all panic bars are working properly during the hours when students are in attendance.

Sweep classrooms daily and dust furniture.
