Production Lead - Steel Service Center (Day Shift CNC Department)
Summary
Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in operating a variety of machines to process material to customer specifications by performing the following duties.

Location: Airway Heights, WA
Pay: $26.18 – $40.56 per hour
Job Type: Full-Time
Most employees start between $26.18 and $33.37. The higher end of the range, $40.56, is reserved for candidates with exceptional experience or qualifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Actively participate in Seaport Steel’s safety program

Review work orders to estimate labor needs and create machining schedules

Coordinate material requirements with Swing Shift Supervisor based on shipping schedules

Plan and manage material flow within the department

Assign work and provide direction to employees

Collaborate with internal teams to meet customer deadlines

Inspect parts and finished products for compliance with customer specifications

Ensure shipping quality and accuracy standards are met

Adjust work procedures to meet production schedules

Inspect packaging to ensure quality and performance standards

Develop and implement improvements to production methods, equipment, and product quality

Recommend changes to improve efficiency and working conditions

Troubleshoot production issues and support employees in resolving problems

Maintain accurate time and production records

Ensure completion of daily and weekly maintenance tasks; submit maintenance reports and use Limble for work orders

Set and review employee training goals with the Operations Manager

Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching to employees

Enforce company policies, procedures, and work rules
Qualifications

Education/Experience
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year College or technical school; or one to two-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CNC burn machine and press brake experience preferred.
Language Ability
Ability to read, analyze, Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from the manager.
Math Ability
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, and fractions.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
