Make a real impact supporting students' growth as a contract school social worker in the Alton, IL area. This flexible opportunity is open to both full-time and part-time professionals ready to deliver vital social and emotional support. You’ll work with up to five schools (never traveling to more than two in a single day), with all locations conveniently situated within a 20–25 minute radius.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing social-emotional support to students, utilizing Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) language and strategies in your interventions.
- Reviewing and interpreting behavioral data in collaboration with educational staff.
- Helping students identify, build, and understand their skills and needs.
- Communicating progress and strategies with teachers and families as appropriate.
- Collaborating with school teams to foster positive school climates and inclusive learning environments.
Qualifications sought:
- Valid licensure as a School Social Worker.
- Previous experience with school-aged children preferred.
- Familiarity with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy or willingness to incorporate ACT concepts.
- Ability to analyze behavior and data to inform supports.
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork abilities.
- Flexibility to travel between schools within the same day, local travel only.
