Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Daycare Director to lead and manage a vibrant early childhood education center. Responsibilities
- Lead the daily operation of the daycare center, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning
- Supervise and support teaching staff in implementing early childhood education best practices
- Develop and maintain engaging curriculum plans that promote childhood development, including infant care, toddler care, and preschool activities
- Ensure compliance with all licensing requirements, safety regulations, including pediatric first aid and first aid certifications
- Manage classroom environments to foster positive behavior management and age-appropriate learning experiences
- Oversee staff recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations to maintain a high-quality team
- Build strong relationships with families through regular communication, updates on child progress, and addressing concerns promptly
- Maintain accurate records related to child attendance, developmental assessments, mandated reporting laws, and licensing documentation
- Promote a safe environment by conducting routine safety checks, emergency preparedness drills, and ensuring adherence to health protocols
Experience
- Proven experience working with children in daycare or preschool settings with classroom experience in early childhood education
- Demonstrated leadership skills as a director or supervisor within a childcare environment
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and effective child development instruction techniques
- Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is preferred
- Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire) is required
- Experience managing staff schedules, behavior management strategies, and classroom management practices
- Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare is essential
