As Acento continues to grow our portfolio, we’re looking for a Corporate Controller to lead our Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Treasury functions and own corporate financial reporting for the organization. This role runs the monthly, quarterly, and annual close for our corporate entities and consolidated portfolio, delivers accurate and timely reporting to executive leadership and lenders, and directly leads and develops the teams behind AP, Payroll, and Treasury.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Financial Reporting
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close for corporate entities and consolidated financial statements, ensuring GAAP compliance
- Deliver accurate, timely reporting to executive leadership and lenders; support budgeting and forecasting
Accounts Payable
- Oversee invoice processing, coding, approvals, and vendor payments, with strong controls and segregation of duties
- Drive AP automation and efficiency improvements and oversee month-end close, accruals, and reconciliations
Payroll
- Oversee accurate, compliant payroll processing across a multi-state, hourly/salaried workforce
- Partner with HR on benefits administration and new hire/termination processing; oversee payroll accounting and reconciliations
Treasury & Cash Management
- Oversee corporate cash management, banking relationships, liquidity forecasting, and covenant compliance
- Manage disbursement/funding processes and support debt administration and lender coordination
Internal Controls & Leadership
- Maintain strong accounting controls and governance across AP, Payroll, and Treasury; support annual audit and tax reporting
- Lead, coach, and develop the AP, Payroll, and Treasury teams; hire, evaluate, and retain accounting staff
- Partner with Asset Management, HR, Tax, and executive leadership, providing proactive insights and early risk escalation
What you will bring along
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required;
- CPA required;
- MBA a plus
- 8–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3–5+ years leading accounting, AP, payroll, or treasury teams
- Demonstrated experience overseeing Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Treasury functions
- Real estate industry and multi-entity consolidation experience preferred

- Base salary: $150,000–$175,000, commensurate with experience, plus performance-based incentive bonus
