The Residential Collections Driver is responsible for safely operating a collection truck and providing reliable, courteous, and efficient waste removal services. This role ensures compliance with all company, state, and federal safety regulations and maintains the vehicle in proper working condition.

Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR), ensuring proper tire pressure, fluid levels, and safety equipment; report any issues promptly

Safely operate a collection truck along assigned routes and to disposal sites

Follow route sheets, maps, and dispatcher instructions to service all assigned customers

Operate truck controls to lift, load, compact, and dispose of waste materials safely

Interact professionally with customers, dispatchers, and team members

Identify and tag non-compliant or unsafe waste containers

Monitor for unacceptable materials and report as required

Clean up accidental spills in accordance with safety procedures

Maintain vehicle cleanliness and functionality to minimize downtime

Complete all required documentation, including route sheets and inspection reports

Meet productivity and service standards for timely route completion

Load and empty residential and/or commercial containers manually or mechanically

Operate hoisting mechanisms to empty bins into the truck hopper

Work outdoors in varying weather conditions and a fast-paced environment

Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management

Minimum 21 years of age

High school diploma or GED
-
Valid CDL Class B (or higher) with air brake endorsement

At least 2 years of commercial driving experience

Legally authorized to work in the United States

Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly

Ability to work in all weather conditions
