We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our team. Responsibilities:
- Inspect vehicle engines and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately, and precisely recommend replacement/repairs as needed.
- Follow established procedures and expectations for inspections, diagnostics, and repairs.
- Provide thorough inspections of vehicle systems beyond routine maintenance, identifying potential issues down the road for each car.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.
- Perform oil changes, tire rotations, and overall vehicle health checks- Persistently being able to notate additional work within these smaller jobs.
- Complete A/C recharges, brake and suspension work, front end suspension alignments, and routinely scheduled maintenance.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex automotive problems and share expertise.
- Maintain a working knowledge of current industry best practices and new emerging technology.
- Able to Complete 40+ labor hours per pay week as an independent technician.
- Perform high-quality work and uphold high standards of workmanship (reducing comebacks or potential damages).
- Comply with safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe workspace.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment by actively participating in team meetings and training classes.
- Shop management & Cleaning- Perform tasks to ensure the proper functioning, cleanliness, and upkeep of the facility (cleaning floors, tools, organizing toolboxes, etc.).
Qualifications:
- Ability to collaborate with other technicians, with a focus on learning and optimizing daily work flow.
- Completion of 80+ labor hours per pay period (Bi-Weekly).
- Ability to demonstrate effective time management skills and handle various tasks simultaneously.
- Maintain a good line of communication with service writers and technicians, reducing miscommunications.
- Track labor hours daily.
- Show up to work on time (or at time expected).
- Valid In-state Driver’s license and an acceptable safe driving record.
- Acceptable understanding and capability to use technology like computers and android tablets.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to Diagnose Electrical problems with a competent understanding of wiring diagrams and electrical systems.
- 3+ Years of Professional Independent Technician experience.
- Ability to speak Spanish (optional).
- Eager to learn and expand diagnostic expertise, willing to work on shortcomings and learn from veteran technicians.
