We are seeking a highly motivated and vigilant OPOTA Certified Security Officer to join our dynamic security team. Responsibilities
- Monitor premises using CCTV systems and surveillance equipment to detect suspicious activity or security breaches.
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility to ensure safety and security standards are maintained.
- Verify the identity of visitors, contractors, and vendors, authorizing access as appropriate.
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.
- Enforce loss prevention policies by identifying potential theft or vandalism and taking appropriate action.
- Maintain detailed incident reports, shift logs, and security records accurately and promptly.
- Provide first aid or CPR in emergency situations when required, ensuring the safety of all individuals on-site.
Experience
- OPOTA (Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy) certification or equivalent security license is required.
- Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of surveillance techniques including CCTV operation and monitoring is essential.
- Demonstrated conflict management skills with the ability to handle tense situations professionally.
- Familiarity with loss prevention strategies and security protocols to prevent theft and ensure safety.
- Basic first aid and CPR certification are advantageous for responding effectively during emergencies.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to document incidents clearly and accurately.
