We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on diesel-powered heavy construction equipment. Duties and Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems on diesel heavy construction equipment.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and resolve problems.
- Maintain technical and product knowledge on equipment sold within the dealership’s area of responsibility.
- Participate in appropriate training, as assigned within a timely manner.
- Disassemble and assemble engine components to manufacturer’s specifications though the use of hand tools, pneumatic tools, and any specialized tooling provided by Brooks Tractor.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Research repair needs and order parts as needed, following manufacturer guidelines and specifications for repairs.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as hydraulic, fluid levels, and filter replacements.
- Conduct inspections to identify any potential issues or safety concern
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed
Qualifications
- Diesel Technician diploma or degree or experience working on heavy construction equipment, John Deere preferred.
- Proficiency in heavy construction equipment maintenance and repair techniques.
- Experience with hydraulic systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Customer service-oriented mindset.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals.
