Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring efficient processing of sales transactions
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and safety protocols
- Upsell menu items including cocktails, wines, spirits, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, including bussing tables and assisting with food handling procedures
- Use reservation systems like OpenTable to manage bookings efficiently and optimize seating arrangements
Experience
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably in fine dining or hospitality settings
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms for order entry and sales processing
- Strong knowledge of beverage service including cocktail mixing, wine knowledge, spirits, and drink presentation
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build guest relations and handle diverse customer needs gracefully
- Ability to multitask effectively with strong time management skills in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and managing sales reports
- Prior experience with food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
