Duties
- Supervise daily cafe operations to ensure smooth workflow and excellent customer service.
- Lead staff training and development initiatives to enhance team performance and food safety compliance.
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to maintain quality standards and consistency.
- Manage inventory control, ordering supplies, and monitoring stock levels to reduce waste and control costs.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; perform cash handling duties.
- Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and sanitation standards across all kitchen and service areas.
- Support shift management by coordinating schedules, supervising team members, and resolving customer issues promptly.
- Assist in managing budgets, analyzing profit and loss reports, and implementing strategies to meet sales targets.
- Foster a welcoming environment that emphasizes hospitality, customer satisfaction, and team collaboration.
Experience
- Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant management with a strong background in food preparation and kitchen operations.
- Demonstrated leadership in supervising hospitality teams within casual dining or restaurant settings.
- Hands-on experience with POS systems such as Par Brink or Aloha; proficient in cash handling procedures.
- Background in food safety management, inventory control, and food production processes.
- Prior roles involving staff training, team management, interviewing candidates, and managing hospitality teams.
- Experience with budgeting, profit & loss analysis, and operational planning within the food industry.
- Strong knowledge of culinary practices including cooking techniques, food handling, catering or banquet experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate staff and deliver outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.
