Omaha Conservatory of Music is seeking Piano Artist-Faculty, part-time, to join our team of educators! We’re looking for musicians who are not only skilled performers and teachers but also innovative, collaborative, and deeply invested in student growth.
Artist-Faculty work with a wide range of students, from young beginners (ages 3–8) to advanced learners in private and group settings. This role is structured a pay per service position.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert instruction in individual and group settings
- Create engaging lesson plans using current pedagogical strategies
- Communicate regularly with students, families, and staff
- Manage studio operations, including scheduling, recitals, and student support
- Collaborate with department chairs and programming staff
- Attend faculty meetings and participate in departmental initiatives
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or Performance (required)
- Two years of teaching experience, including group/class instruction
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching young children (ages 3–6)
- Suzuki training through Book 4
- Fluency in Spanish
- Familiarity with diverse musical styles and repertoire
