Valex Corp is looking for an experienced Buyer to join its team in Ventura, CA. Key responsibilities will include: sourcing and purchasing material that directly supports production, such as, but not limited to, floor stock, vendor services, office supplies, consumables, etc; establish and maintain relationships with suppliers; vendor coordination; cost and budget control; and source other supplies as requested.
The successful candidate will have 2+ years directly related experience, strong negotiation skills, strong interpersonal skills, strong follow-up skills, and experience working in an ERP system (QAD is a bonus). A high school diploma is required and a Bachelor's Degree in an applicable field is preferred.
This position is non-exempt and the hourly pay range is $25.00 to $28.00 DOE. All new-hires must successfully complete pre-employment drug/alcohol testing, criminal/civil background checks, and verification of previous employment and education (if applicable).
