Pain and Wellness Institute of Kentucky is a new interventional pain practice in Louisville and is looking for a Front Office Specialist. This position allows for the opportunity to participate in a new practice, from the ground up. It’s an incredible professional experience and we are seeking a very strong team. Candidate must have excellent written and spoken communication skills. This position requires excellent organizational and computer skills as well as the ability to keep up with a high-volume practice.
General Duties & Responsibilities:
- Extend friendly and welcoming greetings
- Ensure paperwork and EMR systems are current and filled out correctly
- Scheduling patients for new, returning, and follow-up appointments
- Patient check-in and check-out
- Understanding of patient copay and deductibles and able to collect required funds from patients
- Scan, fax and file documents
- Fulfill responsibilities as assigned by management
- Minimum two-three years’ experience in a doctor’s office
- Prior pain management experience is not required, but preferred
- Quality written and verbal communication skills
- Professional in appearance and mannerisms
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Able to demonstrate compassion and care in dealing with patients and co-workers alike
- Able to prioritize tasks, understand the provider’s instructions, and know when to seek information or advice.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Excellent attendance and punctuality
- Knowledge of medical terminology and EHR systems
- Provide excellent customer service
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Practice Management and EMR experience required
